    I have a Blue Tick hound with anxiety issues so I thought I’d try hemp seed oil as I didn’t want to have to give her anti-anxiety prescribed drugs. She is 52 lbs. so I started with one 1/4 ml per day to watch for any side effects. She was a bit gasses and lethargic the first few days but then her body seemed to adjust well to it. Then I began 1/2 ml. before bed to help her sleep better. She gets 2-3 off leash runs in the woods and has a remote control race car to chase so she gets plenty of exercise. Even with all this exercise she still had issues with getting up numerous times throughout the night to pace and scratch. She now sleeps way better all throughout the night and has less anxiety issues during the day. I was skeptical at first but after a couple of weeks I really noticed that she was more focused and less anxious. Once this pandemic has lessened I am going to have her vet do a complete blood check to be sure she does not have any thyroid or any other underlying conditions.

    I am SOOOO happy I found this!! I have 3 senior dogs. My beautiful Pug (Pearl) had a hard time sleeping throughout the night. Waking to eat, go to the bathroom and just plain restless.     Our French Bulldog, Athena, is a therapy dog in Alaska and was diagnosed with epilepsy about 3 months ago. We decided to use the Hemp My Pet 250mg Tincture first as opposed to using traditional anti-seizure medications. Athena has been taking it for just over a month. She was having seizures every 7-10 days, but went almost one full month without having a single seizure! When she did have the seizure (ichtal phase) it lasted less than a minute, and the post-ichtal phase that normally lasted 1.5 – 2 hours in the past was only about 15 minutes! We’ve been titrating her up to the recommmend dose for seizures, so to get this type of response and not being to the recommend dose yet is amazing! She’s having no side effects and sleeping much better, so in addition her energy level has improved! An additional bonus is her skin and fur is doing better too (she has allergies). We definitely are going to keep using this product for our lil’ 4-legged princess. The customer service has also been fantastic!

    We bought this product because of the great Amazon reviews for our cat. We do the suggested 2mg dosage 3 times a day and it is tremendously helping him in ways we were hoping and ways we never even imagined! Our Manx cat has a tail with some uncomfortable digestive deformities and we have never been able to hold him in certain ways and sometimes he is outright cranky and we cant touch his backend.     My malamute is starting to have really bad hip problems and our vet had us giving her aspirin when she needed it. Once a day became twice a day and I was concerned with giving her too much. I asked my vet about hemp oil and he recommended this product. I couldn’t be happier with what this is doing for my dog. After just a few days she had more energy and didn’t seem to be in pain. She still gets stiff in the evenings after an active day but nothing like she had been. Her mental state is incredible as well.     I originally got this to see if it would help my dog with painful nerve issues in his back legs that cause him to chew his leg raw and to calm his anxiety. To date it has not helped with the nerve problem but has helped his anxiety a lot! I was also surprise to see this helped with the inflammation of his chronic ear infections!     Really love this product as it has not only helped my dog but also has allowed my mare to move around with more ease. Sam my pit bull plays pretty hard at chasing rocks and sticks and usually is limping after this but since I have been using this product he is pretty much limp free and he is 8.     My 9 year old mini schnauzer developed a tumor on the bottom of her paw that grew past her big pad. We had two biopsys done with inclusive results. The best answer they could give me was that they were 85% sure it was the worst kind of cancer possible. We were devestated and felt hopeless. She also has a mild heart condition so I knew chemo and radiation was too risky and it would suck her spirit dry. So…I did research on alternative treatments and read the reviews on this oil.     My cat is essentially on comfort care at this point as he has a suppressive bone marrow cancer (we finally gave up on determining the exact type of cancer). His primary symptoms are nausea and loss of appetite. He is on a very strong anti-nausea medicine that is supposed to last for 24 hours, but he would start getting his symptoms back after about 6 hours. We were to the point of scheduling an appointment to take him in because the last thing I want to do is prolong the inevitable if he is uncomfortable or miserable. Last resort, decide to give this a try. It has bought us time together! I am giving this twice a day, along with his other medications and his symptoms have been extremely limited! He is eating a healthy amount each day and it gave him his personality back. While this hasn’t completely cured his symptoms, the 80-90% symptom relief my cat now has is a blessing for both of us since it is allowing more time together! I would recommend giving this a try!!!     I have been using this for about a month for my over anxious Great Pyrenees. He was lungeing at cars and some dogs whenever we would go for a walk. Now he’s calmer, still very alert but I’m able to tell him to leave it and his anxiety doesn’t get the best of him. He’s probably only lunged at a car 3-4x since we’ve started this vs daily lungeing. My vet was recommending prozac and then​ suggested something experimental cannabis oil (this now available online HempPet) and I was like why not! I’ll try anything! I think it’s amazing. The only thing I would say is that it’s crazy expensive since I have a large dog and $80/mo for a 30oz might get harder to afford. It lasts for just shy of 30 days with 1ml a day for. 100 lb dog.     This oil is awesome! I saw incredible results on my beagle/hound pup in completely eradicating the tumor he had on his foot, just by giving this oil orally. I didn’t even apply it to his tumor regularly. The oil is very calming and reduces his anxiety. Beagles are known for their high-energy, so this oil has been great. After giving him the oil, he chills out on the couch and rests/sleeps. This company has excellent customer service.     I have been using HempMy Pet for over six months for my Rhodesian Ridgeback who has seizures and bad hips. It took us a couple months to deal in the dosage but we have been able to reduce his seizures by almost 90% with no pharmaceutical drugs and if he does have a seizure, it is very mild compared to previous seizures. Cruelty Free Dog Products

No animals are harmed in the manufacturing of our products. 

In the animal rights movement, cruelty–free is a label for products or activities that do not harm or kill animals anywhere in the world. Products tested on animals are not considered cruelty–free, since these tests are often painful and cause the suffering and death of millions of animals every year.

Vegan Dog Products

No animal products or by-products used in any of our oils.

The only non-vegan product we have are the Pumpkin Hemp Dog Biscuits which do contain egg. (The Peanut Butter Banana Hemp Dog Biscuits do not and are also vegan.)


DEFINITION OF VEGAN VS. VEGETARIAN

Getting vegetarianism confused with veganism is a common mistake most people make. So today we are going to closely examine the definition of vegan versus the definition of a vegetarian in this post. Hopefully, this provides a little clarity.

DEFINITION OF A VEGETARIAN

The Oxford dictionary definition of a vegetarian is “a person who does not eat meat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain etc.”

This basically divides vegetarians into two groups; vegetarians who exclude eggs and dairy and vegetarians who include these items in their diets. The latter can then be broken up into a further three groups; ovo- vegetarians (who consume eggs but not milk), lacto-vegetarians (who consume milk but not eggs) and ovo-lacto vegetarians who consume both milk and eggs.

There’s often controversy surrounding “semi-vegetarians”, whose diet consists mainly of vegetarian foods but includes fish or poultry. The main differentiating factor between all of the above-mentioned groups is how much animal products are included in the diet.

DEFINITION OF VEGAN

The above difference is the main distinguishing factor between the definition of vegan and that of a vegetarian because vegans exclude animal products in their entirety. The official definition of veganism is “the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in a diet. As well as following an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of sentient animals.

A follower of veganism is known as a vegan”. That means veganism extends beyond the diet of a vegan individual. That is the biggest difference between vegans and vegetarians. While vegetarians may not consume animal products, they may use them if they are present in other products, such as items containing silk, honey or leather.

Vegans, on the other hand, avoid the use of animal products in all areas of their lifestyles.

Human Grade Dog Products

All ingredients and manufacturing processes are Human-Grade. We would never make anything for our pets considered not suitable for ourselves. The term human-grade in pet food means the finished product is legally suitable and approved as nourishment for humans. It is “edible.” Human foods are much more rigorously regulated than foods made for animals.

Cultivar Specific Hemp Oil Dog Products

For consistency. HempMy Pet grows one particular cultivar of hemp, selected specifically for its cannabinoid profile, and uses it every time for our hemp extract, maintaining consistency and eliminating unknowing trial and error.

Cannabis strains including Hemp and Marijuana are either pure or hybrid of the plant genus Cannabis, which encompasses the species Sativa, Indica, and Ruderalis.

Varieties are developed to intensify specific characteristics of the plant, or to differentiate the strain for the purposes of marketing or to make it more effective as a natural supplement. Variety names are typically chosen by their growers, and often reflect properties of the plant such as taste, color, smell, or the origin of the variety. These varieties have been cultivated to contain a high percentage of cannabinoids, including CBD, CBG, CBC and more. Several varieties of Cannabis, known as Hemp, have a very low THC content, and are instead grown for their fiber, seed and therapeutic propertiess

Full Spectrum Hemp Oil for Dogs

All the Cannabinoids, CBD, CBG, CBC..plus the terpenes and other minor cannabinoids made from the Whole Plant for the complete entourage effect.

CBD has become quite popular over the last couple of years but despite what you might think it is only one of the 100 compounds that have been identified in the Cannabis Sativa L plant. Full-spectrum CBD oil, unlike CBD isolate products, includes a wide range of cannabinoids present in the cannabis or hemp plant. Depending on the condition and what you are looking to achieve it can provide a greater effect than CBD alone as all the cannabinoids work together in what is known as the entourage effect.

Full-spectrum CBD also contains a variety of essential vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, protein, chlorophyll, terpenes, flavonoids, and fiber. When referring to CBD in the hemp plant, it’s important to understand that Hemp contains a large number of cannabinoids (in trace amounts), but the main compounds are CBD and cannabidiolic acid (CBDa). As CBDa is more abundant in the hemp plant, firms must decarboxylate the oil. This process heats the oil and changes CBDa into CBD.

Just one last thing before we explain the benefits of Full Spectrum CBD oil, its important to understand that CBD from Cannabis is only legal in Medical or recreational states, while CBD hemp oil is legal in all 50 states under the 2014 US Farm Bill. While it may not be able to treat all conditions it has been known to assist with a variety of medical conditions including anxiety, depression and acute pain.

The Benefits of the Whole Plant

One of the most important studies relating to full-spectrum CBD oil took place at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Hadassah School in 2015. It compared the performance of a full spectrum extract with one that contained CBD only. The study concluded that full spectrum was more effective when fighting pain and inflammation.

While CBD only is somewhat effective, the whole plant extract not only provided faster and better relief, the effects also lasted longer. This is why an increasing number of companies in the CBD industry are selling full-spectrum CBD oil as a rule.

The aforementioned entourage effect is the main reason behind the efficacy of whole plant extracts. There are over 100 ‘identified’ compounds in the cannabis plant. While most of these compounds have their own therapeutic benefit, they come together in a synergistic way to provide far better performance than any single compound, including CBD.
