Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract

Full-spectrum hemp extract keeps the whole plant's cannabinoids and terpenes together — CBD, CBG, CBC, CBDV and more — never an isolate.

Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract: The Whole Plant, the Way It Grew

Full-spectrum hemp extract is the heart of everything HempMy Pet makes. It means the whole spectrum of the hemp plant's natural compounds — CBD, CBG, CBC, CBDV, terpenes, and more — kept together in one extract, instead of stripping the plant down to a single molecule. We grow our own strain-specific hemp on our certified-organic Colorado farm, so what ends up in the bottle is as close to the living plant as a supplement gets.

What Is Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract?

Full-spectrum hemp extract preserves the entire chemical profile of the hemp plant: the major cannabinoids, the minor ones, the aromatic terpenes, and the flavonoids — including the trace amount of THC (under the legal 0.3%) that occurs naturally. Nothing is isolated out. That completeness is the whole point, because these compounds were designed by the plant to work together.

Full-Spectrum vs Broad-Spectrum vs Isolate

There are three tiers of hemp extract, and the difference matters for your pet:

Full-spectrum keeps everything the plant makes, trace THC included — the most complete option. Broad-spectrum takes a full-spectrum extract and runs an extra refining step to strip the THC, which can also remove some beneficial compounds along the way. Isolate is pure CBD and nothing else — 99%+ cannabidiol, with all the other cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids removed. HempMy Pet only ever makes full-spectrum, because the extra compounds are exactly what we want to keep.

What's Inside HempMy Pet's Full-Spectrum Extract

Our hemp is naturally rich in a spread of cannabinoids — CBD, CBG, CBC, and CBDV — alongside the plant's terpenes. Because we breed our own strains and grow them ourselves, we know exactly what's in each batch, and every batch is third-party lab tested. Our horse oil, for example, is documented as rich in CBD, CBG, CBC, and terpenes.

The Entourage Effect

The reason full-spectrum outperforms isolate for most pets is the entourage effect — the synergy that happens when cannabinoids and terpenes work together rather than alone. One compound can enhance or smooth the effect of another. Take away the supporting cast, and you lose that teamwork.

Why HempMy Pet Uses Only Full-Spectrum

Most pet brands buy hemp extract from a broker and reformulate it. We do the opposite — a true seed-to-sale operation. We breed the genetics, grow the plants without pesticides or herbicides on our organic Colorado farm, and formulate in-house under human-grade standards. Full-spectrum isn't a marketing label for us; it's the result of controlling the plant from seed to bottle, and never China-sourcing the extract.

Is Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract Safe for Pets?

Yes, when used appropriately. Because full-spectrum keeps a trace of THC, quality and testing matter — ours stays under the federal 0.3% limit and is third-party verified, so it won't intoxicate your pet. As with any supplement, start low and go slow, and check with your veterinarian if your pet is on medication, pregnant, or nursing.

Every product we sell is full-spectrum. Shop CBD hemp oil for dogs, CBD for cats, or CBD for horses — all built from the same organic, whole-plant Colorado extract.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between full-spectrum and broad-spectrum?

Full-spectrum keeps all of the plant's compounds, including trace THC under 0.3%. Broad-spectrum removes the THC in an extra refining step, which can strip some other beneficial compounds too.

Does full-spectrum hemp extract contain THC?

Only a trace — less than the federal 0.3% limit, third-party tested. That's not enough to intoxicate your pet, but it does help the entourage effect.

Will full-spectrum hemp make my pet high?

No. The THC level is far too low to cause a high. Your dog, cat, or horse stays clear-headed.

Is full-spectrum better than isolate for dogs?

For most pets, yes — the additional cannabinoids and terpenes contribute to the entourage effect, which isolate (pure CBD) can't offer on its own.
